How lucky I am!
To make changes it is often needed to be in contact with powerful persons. To do this there is a need to understand how to do this. It takes some time to understand this in a another society as well, maybe it is not even possible to fully understand it. One way of doing this is to live in that society for a while. I did it for two years. Two years in Iraqi Kurdistan. This change of living, I did it just by myself. Now the time is to to use this knowledge make contact with more powerful entities in my own society, in Sweden in order to facilitate more changes. There will come a time to not only contact powerful persons one by one but to connect them. To make changes happen. To get things happen. A large change that I can not do just by myself. This is my new challenge to connect Swedish welfare be with Iraqi welfare wannabe. The initial contact is made and had the right effect in right time. It will take at least two years is the statement and that gave me a feeling of joy. It makes me think it is possible change soon and in reasonable time. And I will get the chance to see the change myself. How lucky I am!

An important ceremony in start of life and our common future
Today I was fortuned to be invited to a basic christian ceremony based the sacrament of baptism. A four month old baby boy was the VIP for the day and all celebrations. His parents and his sister and brothers where all an active part of it. The celebration was to welcome this new person, a newly born human being into the world of love that the christianity wants to give to him all his life. It is also a reminder to all of us participating how important this person is to our future. There are different kind of ceremonies during one persons life. This is the first official one. The last one is when a person dies and leaves the living part of the human family. These two ceremonies are very different and the person himself can only consciously participate in the first one. What about the muslim and islamic ceremonies? Is there a ceremony when a new human being is born as well? Not baptism but something with the similar meaning or for other reasons in order to welcome the baby and to give everybody a reminder of how important every new born human being is for our common future? I give myself a task to look for the answer and tell Per Robin Elof about it later on.

Happy New Year 2010
New Year celebration "the Swedish way". With the family, in a wonderful winterland with a lot of snow, white, cold and clean. Outside fireworks. Rocket let outs and squirt of light bulbs first up in the sky. Boom and stars exploding. Then falling down again. Very beautiful with all the colours and twinkling light. But noisy. Very noisy.
Is there someone who do not like this, people who get scared of noisy rockets and boom, boom? It might depend on your experience from the past. With the experience of being threatened to death with rockets and fire in Iraq in the past, there should be better ways of celebrating New Year. A more peaceful and joyful way that fits better to our different experiences. Time to create a new traditions.
